Auburn man charged with five counts of production of pornography

AUBURN, Ala.- On April 14, Auburn Police arrested David Barkley Johnson, age 58, from Auburn, on felony warrants charging him with five counts of production of pornography with minors.

The arrest stems from an investigation that began on Feb. 5 when the Auburn Police Division received a complaint in reference to crimes possibly involving juvenile victims. David Barkley Johnson was developed as a suspect. During the investigation, pornographic images were recovered, and Johnson was determined to be the person who produced those images.

Evidence discovered has indicated that the victims were known to Johnson, and the victims have been notified. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to call the Auburn Police Division tip line (334) 246-1391 or the Detective Section at (334) 501-3140.

Johnson was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $125,000 bond.
